vinnies sleepouts

Host or Join a Vinnies School or Community Sleepout, today!

On Census night in 2016, there were 116,000 Australians experiencing homelessness. An estimated 9,000 were Western Australians. Recent data indicates that the number has increased significantly due the impacts of COVID-19.

Hosting a Vinnies Sleepout gives students and communities a glimpse into the realities and complex issues of homelessness on a personal level by ‘sleeping rough’ for a night.

The Vinnies School and Community Sleepout is hosted by  schools, community groups, leaders, organisations and individuals who are inspired to raise awareness about homelessness and motivated to raise vital funds for Vinnies’ essential programs and services.

Vinnies is asking you to get involved and hold a Sleepout in your community or school.

Why sleep out?

Why sleep out?

Homelessness can affect anyone. It can take a slight change of circumstances. By ‘sleeping rough’ for one night, you get a glimpse of what it is like to be homeless.
By fundraising and sharing your experience, you can help raise awareness and advocate for positive change in your community.
