Commonly Asked Questions

Can Vinnies provide a speaker for my Sleepout?

A Vinnies Youth Coordinator can visit your Sleepout. A Youth Coordinator’s calendar can fill up fast so register your School Sleepout first then contact us to check for speaker availability.  Our Youth Coordinators can be reached at: schools@svdpwa.org.au

How private are your fundraising pages?

To help protect children’s online presence we have made all School Sleepout participant pages private. Participants can still share a link or QR code to their page directly with their supporters.

Please note that our Community Sleepout, Fundraise My Way and Tough Night Out event pages are public. They do however have a function option that allows the user to set their page to private.

Do you provide educational resources for schools?

Information about school resources can be found on our Youth Services page here https://www.vinnieswa.org.au/about-vinnies-wa/our-services/youth-service/

When people make donations online they will automatically receive a tax-deductible receipt. If cash donors would like a receipt please record their details on the Cash Donation Summary Form. Once we receive their donations and completed form we will issue the donor a receipt.

Can our offline fundraising be added to our online total?

Yes! Once we receive the bank deposit from your fundraising we can add the offline amount to your fundraising page total.

What if we don’t want to do a Sleepout but we still want to fundraise?

There are plenty of ways to fundraise and make a difference. You may like to host a morning tea or a casual clothes day and donate the money raised by making a direct deposit into our account. There are plenty of fundraising ideas to be found in the Fundraise Your Way Kit.
